Thémis & Isé supports public and private organizations on issues of discrimination, gender-based violence and sexual violence, through training, lectures, investigations, and crisis-management assistance. Its visual identity was designed to convey the values of justice and equality carried by its name, while also embodying the benevolence, protection, and commitment of its founder.
The logo features a stylized human figure, with outstretched arms forming the pans of a scale, a classic symbol of fairness and retribution. On a more abstract level, a face can also be perceived, emphasizing the centrality of the human being, as well as a subtle monogram that combines the letters T and I within the silhouette. This graphic construction seeks a balance between symbolic clarity and refined execution, in order to reflect the complexity of the issues addressed.
The color palette, named Siracusa Deep, is inspired by the hues of Oedipus in the ancient theatre of Syracuse: a deep cypress green, enhanced by an orange accent close to carmine. Together, these tones create an atmosphere that is both timeless and contemporary, reassuring yet full of tension, evoking the dialogue between nature and emotion, calm and violence, and the inner fire needed to soothe the human soul.
