About

Design is never decoration.

It is intention, made visible.

Every brand carries a truth — a reason it exists, a way it moves through the world, a promise it makes without words. Our work is to find that truth and give it form. To shape the invisible into something people can see, feel, and remember.

We don’t follow trends. We study them, question them, and build above them. Because the brands that endure aren’t the ones that chased the moment — they’re the ones that defined it.

We design with purpose.

Not for the sake of beauty alone, though beauty matters deeply. Not for novelty, though originality is our standard. We design because every mark, every letter, every space on a page has the power to change how something is perceived — and how something perceived changes the world around it.

We are deliberate.

In our process. In our questions. In the silence between concepts where real ideas are born. We don’t hand over work — we build relationships between brand and audience that hold long after the brief is closed.

We are Bright Mercury.

Sharp enough to cut through noise. Fluid enough to adapt to any surface. And bright enough to illuminate what was always there — waiting to be seen.

Intentional design. Purposeful brands.

In 2008, Mehdi graduated from Saint-Luc Brussels with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts. He began his professional career as a web designer and quickly transitioned to working in digital agencies as a digital designer. His talent and passion for visual arts soon led him to work as a freelancer around the world, notably in Canada, Australia, and Belgium, where he worked as a graphic designer and art director.

Mehdi joined Shecco as a graphic designer, where he worked on the first network and media platforms dedicated to professionals in the HVAC&R industry. During his time there, he had the opportunity to build cutting-edge news websites and professional networking platforms. Simultaneously, he continued freelancing between Brussels and Montreal in various industries such as art, IT, software, and insurance, honing his skills in UI and digital design.

In 2013, he moved to Melbourne, Australia, and joined Merchantwise, where he managed several client projects, including email design for Disneyland Paris. From 2014 to 2018, he returned to Shecco in Brussels as head of design, overseeing all creative direction. During this period, he had the opportunity to build, design, and publish Accelerate Magazine, which focused on the people who drive the refrigeration industry, and streamline ATMO network conferences, where professionals could meet worldwide.

Between 2017 and 2023, Mehdi co-founded Bureau42, a creative studio specializing in graphic design and branding. At Bureau42, he collaborated with brands and organizations such as Vallée de Chamonix, Ortovox, Schoffel, UNIDO, Sierra Designs, and other entities in the outdoor, non-profit, and cultural industries. During this period, Mehdi also created Design101, a series of mini-conferences and podcasts dedicated to the creative process. These collaborations allowed him to develop a deep artistic and cultural sensitivity while refining his expertise in the design and production of communication materials.

Currently, Mehdi is working as Freelance Art director under Bright Mercury, recognized for its innovative approach and creativity. He continues to push the boundaries of visual expression, bringing a unique perspective and unwavering passion to every project he works on.

With these experiences, Mehdi remains committed to advancing his craft and contributing to the artistic and cultural landscape.
